Feeling Strong and Powerful with Circle+Bloom’s IVF meditations- Alicia’s Story

My partner and I have been trying to conceive for 2.5 years. As a same-sex couple we have felt the pressure of a limited number of treatment cycles available to us and each one having very high stakes – we can’t just “try again next month” or hope that it might happen naturally. I also have the added hurdle of endometriosis.

After 1 chemical pregnancy and 2 more failed IUI’s, we moved on to IVF. I found the C&B meditations as I was preparing for our IVF cycle, and then due to a series of unexpected delays ended up listening to the first three pre-cycle tracks nearly every day for 5 months as I waited to start my IVF cycle. By the time I finally began stimming, I had developed a sturdy yoga and meditation practice, and was in a much more grounded place than I would have been earlier. I am a person who doesn’t even like how Advil makes me feel and prefers not to be on meds at all so I was a little nervous about how the injections were going to make me feel with their side-effects.

I credit the C&B meditations for helping me get through the whole cycle with an ease of body, mind & spirit that I would have never thought possible. I came out the other side of my egg retrieval feeling strong and powerful, and have been relishing in a newfound pride in myself. This is not the side-effect that I was anticipating and it’s amazing! I’m now using the FET meditations as I prepare to receive the frozen embryo that resulted from our IVF cycle.
